PPP Center

January 28, Port Moresby: The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Centre in Papua New Guinea is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Charles Turi as its Acting Chief Executive Officer.

With a strong background in strategic planning, project management, and public policy, Mr. Turi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the PPP Centre. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors, driving innovation, and delivering sustainable development outcomes.

In his previous roles, Mr. Turi has been involved in successful initiatives in privatization, corporatization, restructuring of public bodies to improve service delivery, and promote investment opportunities, making him a valuable addition to the PPP Centre’s leadership team.

Expressing his enthusiasm about his new role, Mr. Turi stated, “I am honored by the confidence given to me to join the PPP Centre and to advance the functions of the PPP Center and look forward to working closely with all stakeholders to advance the agenda of public-private partnerships in Papua New Guinea, by leveraging the strengths of both sectors, we can unlock new opportunities for economic growth, infrastructure development, and inclusive progress.”

As Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Turi will oversee the establishment of the PPP Centre, initiate partnership opportunities, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and promote best practices in PPP project processes. His oversight is expected to further strengthen the Centre’s role as a catalyst for sustainable infrastructure development and effective collaboration among all stakeholders.

The PPP Centre extends a warm welcome to Mr. Charles Turi and looks forward to achieving significant milestones during its establishment under his direction.
